Seung-Yeun Huh - Piano

Born in Seoul, Korea, studied in Germany, England and the USA. She won several prizes at international competitions and has since performed in the in the USA, Asia and various European countries.

She works regularly with conductors such as David Zinman, Adam Fischer, John Curro, Marcus Bosch, Pietari Inkinen and Wolfram Christ, and performs with orchestras such as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bielefeld Philharmonic Orchestra, the Halle Philharmonic State Orchestra, camerata zürich and Sejong Soloists.

In addition to her solo activities, Seung-Yeun Huh is also a sought after chamber musician. The Huh Trio founded in 1996 together with two of her sisters, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2016. Seung-Yeun Huh also founded the AOIDE Trio together with Klaidi Sahatçi, violin, and Sasha Neustroev, cello.

After successfully completing the recording of the piano sonatas and piano pieces by W. A. Mozart on five CDs on the ARS MUSICI label, the three volumes "Années de Pèlerinage" by Franz Liszt were released on two CDs in collaboration with DLF and ARS MUSICI.

In 2012, she recorded Franz Schubert's two late piano sonatas on Acustica Records as well as piano trios by Dmitri Shostakovich and Joseph Haydn with the Huh Trio.

In 2017, Seung-Yeun Huh recorded chamber music works together with the horn player Mischa Greull and Andreas Janke, violin, for Swiss Radio. In the same year, the complete recording of Mozart's works was re-released by the Chinese label "Ensign Culture".

2020 she has recorded the solo works by Schumann in collaboration with SRF and Solo Musica.

In addition to her concert activities, Seung-Yeun Huh is a prorector at the Zurich Conservatory Music School and a cultural manager.
